Last year, in our 2025 Q4 Shopping Season report, we introduced the deal catcher: a shopper with a budget, a plan that bends and a nose for value. This year we can show when they buy. Across the region, spending rises at the turn of every month, when salaries land, and falls back in between.

Q4 is the same rhythm, turned up. For the typical brand in our data, sales at payday ran 38% above the wait in Q4, against 17% in the rest of the year. The sale events add to the rhythm. They don't replace it.

This report shows what the deal catcher does through the month, why the wait matters as much as payday, and how brands can plan around both, for the rest of Q4 and the year ahead.

What You Will Learn

The report draws on Platformance's own data across affiliate, creators, retail media and search, covering Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Egypt. Alongside it are the Saudi Central Bank's weekly card spending, Google and Visa spend data, and research from the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute.

The report covers:

  • The monthly rhythm of payday and the wait, and why bigger, planned purchases wait for the salary
  • How Q4 turns that rhythm up, why 11.11 depends on the category, and why November's wait is the deepest of the year
  • Why the wait belongs to creators, and the two roles they play: building demand and converting it
  • Four layers for any shopping month: Attention, Persuasion, Shortlist and Conversion
  • A period-by-period plan for the rest of Q4 2026, and four steps for the year ahead
